Mixed melasma and blemishes, addressed wavelength by wavelength
When melasma, blemishes, and red post-acne marks appear on the same face, a single wavelength may not be enough to even them out. At Cellin Clinic Gangnam, the depth and type of your pigment are assessed first, then PicoPlus wavelengths and energy are adjusted for your toning plan.

Procedure at a glance
What pigment concerns is PicoPlus Toning in Gangnam used for?
PicoPlus Toning is a picosecond laser toning procedure used for skin with a mix of brown pigment and redness, such as melasma, blemishes, and red marks left after acne. It takes about 10 minutes, and daily activities can usually be resumed right after.
What this procedure can address
A focused procedure for the concern you want to change.
Multi-wavelength pico toning for melasma, blemishes, and red marks together
Helps with deep melasma
Breaks down deep-rooted dermal melasma pigment, which tends to recur, into fine particles to help improve melasma.
Evens mixed blemishes and tone
Addresses epidermal pigment such as freckles, lentigines, and age spots, along with dark shadows between the brows, for a more even complexion.
Addresses red marks too
A 595nm wavelength that responds to red vessels allows redness around melasma and red acne marks to be addressed as well.
Toning with less heat load
Breaks down pigment with brief pulses rather than heat, a design intended to reduce lingering warmth and sensitivity after the procedure.
About the procedure
When pigment remains after several toning sessions
Melasma and blemishes can look alike on the surface but sit at different depths and differ in type. PicoPlus Toning uses picosecond energy that ends before heat can build up, breaking pigment into small particles the body can clear naturally.
A top-hat beam profile delivers energy evenly from the center to the edge of the beam, and the laser is applied without gel on the skin to reduce friction. It also offers a 595nm wavelength that responds to red blood vessels, so red marks after acne and redness around melasma can be addressed alongside pigment.

Book a PicoPlus Toning consultation ↗
01Is there downtime after PicoPlus Toning?+
Because it breaks down pigment while limiting stress on the skin barrier, most people can return to daily activities right after, and recovery tape is not needed. Temporary redness or swelling may appear, and this varies with skin condition.
02Can I switch from regular laser toning to PicoPlus Toning?+
If some pigment has stopped fading with conventional laser toning, PicoPlus Toning may be worth considering. Your previous procedures and current pigment are reviewed before deciding whether to switch and how to space sessions.
03How is the right wavelength chosen from the four options?+
The medical team checks the depth and type of your pigment with skin diagnostic devices such as MarkVu, then sets the wavelength and energy for your skin.
